About Us....
Centenary Baptist welcomes visitors, questions, those seeking God and those who need a new church family. It enjoys a variety of people, including people from every age group. Dynamically, the largest age bubbles appear among those with young families and those whose ages fall in the 50-60 year bracket.

Culturally, Centenary Baptist ministers to those of Australian, European, Asian, South African and American heritages. Respecting each other's backgrounds, we all aim together to worship God as His Centenary Baptist family.

Over the years many hurting people have discovered that Centenary Baptist provides a gentle place to heal spiritually. While the church never set out to become this kind of place, it has discovered that it is one of the ways God enjoys using Centenary Baptist.

Genises

When it comes to music Centenary Baptist loves it. Services often contain as many as 8 or 9 songs. Usually, service leaders choose to use contemporary music in our worship times, but from time to time they also use a hymn from the past to keep touch with our conservative roots.

One subtle emphasis which runs deep in the life of Centenary Baptist is its interest and support for missionaries. All five families that the church sends some support to have been members of Centenary Baptist. Two of these have been former Centenary Baptist pastors. Well over 10% of Centenary Baptist's annual budget goes to help these people carry out God's work in other places.

The most obvious distinctive of Centenary Baptist is its love for practical biblical teaching and preaching. Since The Bible is our guide and the final authority in all questions of life and practice, Centenary Baptist relies on contemporary preaching which explores what God has revealed in His Word. We are always asking, "What does God say about ...?"

This very brief picture of Centenary Baptist probably leaves you with some Questions. Don't be afraid to ask. We'd love to answer specific inquiries. All you have to do is send an email or rock up to a service and collar one of us. Please do. We'd love to meet you and would count it a privilege to share the rest of our spiritual journey with you -if you'd like to come along.
